Summer Reading Assignment for 9th Grade
Summer reading for 2025-2026
All students must have a physical copy of the text.
Over the course of the summer, students must read the book assigned for their grade. Students are required to turn in a typed two-page summary of the book on the first Friday of school along with one of the provided extra activities. Please see attachments below. There will also be a test on the book. There will be absolutely no extensions granted for students registered prior to July 31st.

Summer Reading Assignment for 10th-12th Grades
Over the course of the summer, students must read the book assigned for their grade. There will also be a test on the book during the first week of school along with an in-class essay. This in-class essay will allow for an early look at the student's writing as well as determine the depth of knowledge from the required reading. Students will complete a Major Works Data Sheet on the book to be turned in on the first Friday of school. Instructions are attached. There will be absolutely no extensions granted for students registered prior to July 31st.
